OH, HEY!

Nice to meet you – I’m Natacha!

I launched Simply Fierce as a creative space to provide authentic, fun, and practical content on how to live a healthy lifestyle, take charge of your life, and look fierce while doing it! These are all things I’m striving to achieve every day, and since I’m passionate about it I thought it would be a good idea to share my discoveries, wins, struggles and experiences with you along the way. We are all capable of achieving personal greatness, but sometimes we just need a little push!

If I had to describe myself in one sentence, I would say I’m a health and fitness enthusiast, wanderluster, spicy food lover, mixed hair advocate, and digital marketer. But if you’re curious to know more…

I was born in Quebec, Canada in a small town called Aylmer. I grew up in a multi-cultural household, with a Haitian father and French-Canadian mom. Growing up with two different cultures made me look at the world with an open mind from a young age and gave me an appreciation for diversity. At the age of 10 years old, my family relocated to South Florida which I now call home. Overall, I’ve lived in Florida for about 15 years and I absolutely love it.

Growing up, I always had dreams of becoming a “businesswoman,” even though I didn’t really know what that meant at the time. I use to tell my dad all the time—”dad, I’m going to be a businesswoman!” Then life happened and a lot of those dreams got pushed aside—I was in an abusive relationship, my dad passed away tragically. And after years of trying to avoid the pain, I suffered from severe depression, self-medicated with alcohol, lost friends, jobs, etc. My life had rapidly spun out of control.

I will never forget the day before mother’s day… I was laying in bed crying. I felt so much shame, regret, guilt, pain, and resentment for how I was living my life and most of all, I was SO disappointed with myself and disappointed I was letting everyone down. That day I made a decision. I decided this would be the last day I ever live my life this way.  I decided life was worth living and that I wanted to keep my promise to my dad. I decided that these years of pain would not define me. This day would be the first day of a new life.  And so I did. I did A LOT of work to get to where I am today, and I am damn PROUD of myself!

I’m still growing and learning, but I’ve embraced a healthy lifestyle in mind, body, and spirit. I know my worth and I want to help you find yours as well, and create the life of your dreams!

Thank you for letting me share my story. I know it’s DEEP. But now GO – sit back, relax, and enjoy the read! 🙂

XO Natacha
